WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:
-
Better Walks with your Dog: If you’ve ever been pulled or dragged while walking your dog, or had your dog stop and refuse to start walking again you’ll want to check out this class.
-
Canine Good Citizen Test: Is your pup a good canine neighbor to your community? If your dog is friendly and well behaved, we invite you to take the Canine Good Citizen test created by the American Kennel Club. For a $5 cash entry fee, test your dog’s skills for the opportunity to take home a ribbon and proof of your dog’s achievement!
-
Canine Body Language and other Communication: Our dogs communicate so much through their body positioning and movement as well as their vocalizations. Learning what some of these mean will help you and your dog every day, in addition to continuing to strengthen the bond between you.
-
Canine Hygiene Workshop: Do you hear a click clack anywhere your dog goes? Is their breath horrendous, but you don’t know where to start in the quest to get them to mint fresh breath? In this workshop we will discover how best to help your dog look, feel, and smell their very best. We will discuss ear, nail, and tooth care and what products may work best for your pup individually.
-
Fun with Tricks Workshop: Are you amazed by what the stunts dogs on the TV can do? Are you interested in teaching your dog to do those kinds of stunts? If your answer is yes, you will enjoy this workshop covering a range of tricks from “sit pretty,” to jumping over your leg, to the foundations of having your dog get you a drink from the fridge.
-
Holiday Manners: Has the weather (or your calendar) reminded you that it is nearly the holiday season? Is your dog ready for company? If your dog jumps on people when excited, tries to escape whenever the door opens or begs underfoot whenever the food is served then this is the class for you.
-
Housetraining 101: This is the comprehensive look at housetraining from the very beginning. We want to prepare you to start housetraining strong and humanely.
-
Housetraining 911: Housetraining your dog can be very frustrating – but it doesn’t have to be. This class can help.
-
Kids & Dogs: While it is mostly true that kids love dogs and dogs love kids – this isn’t something that happens automatically or is always the case. This class is for all dog owners who want to introduce kids to their dogs in a positive, safe and fun manner.
-
Puppy Play Time: not only fun – it is a part of the extremely important process of socializing your puppy to this world of ours. The pups have supervised play periods, with breaks for potty time, snuggles and games. You will also learn more about your puppy’s growth and learning as well as have fun playing with them.
-
Puppy Socialization and Problem Solving: Do you have a young puppy at home that is driving you up a wall? Or are you simply concerned with how to get them fully socialized? In this workshop, your puppy will have the opportunity to be socialized around new puppies and humans. We will also be addressing common puppy issues like puppy biting and house training.
-
Sound Sensitivity and Resiliency Workshop: Does your pup run for a safe place when the Independence Day fireworks start? Or do they have fears surrounding mundane sights and sounds of daily life like vacuums, bikes, and skateboards? If you answered yes to either question, this workshop is built just for you and your dog! Come join us for one hour to learn tips and tricks to help your dog overcome their fears and practice the resiliency needed to enjoy life!
