Caring for our pets is easier than ever before thanks to advancements in veterinary medicine. We also cannot forget about the innovative inventions. Handy gadgets have made so many aspects of pet care more manageable and we’re thankful to have them around.
To make things easier for pet parents, we’ve highlighted some of the top pet-focused items in a series of articles. Let’s go over the first set of those useful items below!
Activity Mats
Activity mats are great pick-ups for both puppies and kittens. They offer a lot of stimulation and plenty of reasons for your young pets to get excited.
The activity mat you purchase could even double as their sleeping area. Just lay it down on the ground and let your pets have fun.
Anti-Bacterial Toothpaste
Bacteria buildup along your dog’s teeth and gums can be very harmful if it remains unaddressed. According to the American Kennel Club, the accumulation of bacteria can lead to periodontal disease and that can eventually cause problems for the internal organs of your pet dog.
You can prevent periodontal disease by regularly brushing your pet’s teeth using anti-bacterial toothpaste. Some toothpaste variants even have special flavors to make them more appealing to dogs.
Automatic Pet Feeder
Your cat or dog may be putting on some weight because they’ve been eating more often. Control their feeding habits better by using an automatic pet feeder. The great thing about this type of feeder is that it can serve your pet even while you’re away at work.
Meal Tracking Device
Has you dog given you the puppy dog eyes asking to be fed only to find out he already was? If you have, consider purchasing a device with simple color coding to keep track of Fido’s meals. The device will ensure he doesn’t get overfed which could lead to extra pounds.
Cat Wipes
Unless you trained your cat to take baths at an early age, they probably won’t be too keen on stepping into the shower with you. That will make cleaning them up tougher, but you can use cat wipes for that.
The cat wipes will be especially helpful if your pet just came from outside and has some mud or dirt stuck to their fur. Clean them up quickly and easily using the wipes.
Try out the items mentioned above and see how helpful they can be in your household. We’ll be back with part 2 very soon so please stay tuned for that!
