The weather outside may prevent you and your dog from heading outdoors in winter. It’s a real bummer, we know. The good news is that you can still have fun together with your beloved while staying indoors.
Included below are some of our favorite ways to pass the time with our pets during the winter. We hope you and your pet will like them too!
Bake Some Treats for Your Dog
Baking can be time-consuming, which is why you cannot do it whenever you want to. Since you’re spending more time indoors during the winter though, that is probably the best time for you to get into baking.
Whip up some treats for yourself and don’t forget about your furry friend.
You can bake all kinds of delectable treats for your pet. Try baking some sweet treats and some savory biscuits as well.

Paint a Winter Scene with Your Dog
We’re not just talking about you using your dog as a model for your next painting. The two of you can also paint together!
Pick up some pet-friendly washable paint at an art supplies store as well as a wide enough painting surface your pet can walk on. Dip your pet’s paws in the paint and then allow him/her to create a masterpiece.
Just remember to wash off the paint completely after the two of you are done painting.
Practice Yoga with Your Dog
Doga, otherwise known as yoga for dogs, is growing in popularity. More pet parents are trying it out and they’re able to spend more quality time together with their dogs as a result.
According to The Bark, doga is even beneficial for the health of your dogs. Being so close to your dog’s body allows you to check for any unusual changes. The increased contact may also help your dog get used to grooming.
The book “Doga: Yoga for Dogs” can help you and your dog get into this healthy habit. Feel free to check it out when you have the time!
Being stuck indoors isn’t always fun, but you can still make the most out of it together with your pet. Give the activities listed above a try because we’re sure that they will help make the indoor life more fun during this winter!
