What never fails to put a smile on your dog’s face? In all likelihood, simply getting more time to spend with you is probably more than enough to make him/her happy. As a pet parent though, you probably want to do something more special like create bucket lists for your pups.
In this article, we’ve highlighted five items that should be on dogs’ bucket lists. Keep them in mind as you try to put together a personalized one for your dog.
1. Go All Out with a Meal
Dogs won’t say no to a good meal. Make it extra special by serving your dog’s favorite treats.
Perhaps you can cook up a nice steak and serve it to your beloved pet. If your dog has a different kind of favorite food, you can serve that too.
Don’t be shy with the serving size because this is your pet’s chance to really go all out!
2. Take Your Dog with You on Vacation
As much as your dog loves your home, he/she would probably enjoy visiting other places as well. With that in mind, why not make your next beach excursion all about your dog? Going camping together with your pet is also a great idea.
3. Share a Full Day with Your Dog
Parting with your dog whenever you have to go to work or run to the store is never fun. Your pet likely isn’t too fond of it either.
At least once, consider taking your pet with you as you go through an entire day. Show a side of yourself to your dog that he/she may have never seen before. Cap off that day by sleeping in the same bed and make it a memory the both of you can truly cherish.
4. Pamper Your Pet
There’s nothing like treating yourself to a spa day. It’s a kind of experience that manages to be both relaxing and invigorating. It’s also the kind of experience your dog will surely love.
Hire a professional groomer to pamper your pet or do it yourself by checking out the tips in this ASPCA article.
5. Take Part in a Pet Photo Shoot
Okay, so this last entry on dogs’ bucket lists is probably something more for you than your pet. That said, your dog probably won’t turn down a chance to pose for pictures together with you.
Take some wacky shots, some serious shots, and just have all kinds of fun as you and your dog share the spotlight!
Hopefully, you will be inspired by the bucket list entries above and come up with your own list of fun activities to try with your pet. The moments we share with our pets are precious. Make those moments even more memorable by having as much fun as possible together with your dear friend.
Don’t wait until you have time to tick things off the bucket list to make things more exciting for your dog. Introduce some more excitement into your dog’s daily routine by going for a walk.
