Kirsten, Lake Stevens 98258 & Everett 98201, 98203 & 98205 Dog WalkerMy love and compassion for animals is easy to see and well known by family and friends. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted animals to be a part of my life. I’d bring home the occasional stray and ask to keep it, which then led to my desire to strive to help animals.

When I was a kid, we rescued a cat that had been abandoned on the side of the road. We brought her home, gave her loving family, and spoiled her rotten. Years passed and a couple litters of kittens later our four legged family had grown significantly. We now have three cats, two of which are special needs; one lost an eye and the other lost her tail. I was there for both animals to help through the recovery process with medication administration as well as lots of snuggles and love.

I studied Veterinary Assisting and Grooming at Sno-Isle Tech, received my certification as a Veterinary Assistant, and interned at a veterinary clinic for a couple months with the plan of going to veterinary school. In the end, I decided veterinary school was not for me, I had a difficult time dealing with the idea of not being able to save every animal.

I shifted my focus and started working as a Nanny for a number of years, and that seemed to be where my skills really shined through. I worked with a family with two boys, ages 4 and 8, and a girl, age 6 for about two and a half years before I left for school at Western Washington University to study Sociology. While attending school, I managed to attain another job as a Nanny for a family with five children; three boys, ages 8 months, 3, and 5, and two girls, ages 7 and 14. I worked as their Nanny for three years, loving the kids like they were my family.

Working as an overnight pet sitter and dog walker for TAILored Pet Services allows me to spend my day doing what I love, being outside with animals while their parents can feel safe and secure to go about their business and know that their fur baby is in good hands and will be well taken care of.

When I am not at work caring for pets, I enjoy spending time outside, running, biking, hiking, any excuse to get outside. I am also an avid photographer, I love taking photos of nature, cityscapes, portraits (pets and people), if I am outside, chances are my camera is at my side ready to go. When I am home I like to read and cuddle with my three cats: Tank, Minnie, and Billy aka One-Eyed Willy, and my rescued pet ball python, Monty.
